    School address          : 1 Moo 4, Tha Ngio, Mueang N akhon Si Thammarat, Nakhon Si Thammarat 80280, Thailand

    Satit Bilingual School (SBS) is a demonstration school. It is a part of the Faculty of Education of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (NSTRU). The location of SBS is in southern Thailand.


    • o   Academic Support System : genious room and soundlab room
    • o   Teaching Sistem :

    Satit School have 2 groups . There are mini program and English program. Mini program use Thai language for the instructions. There are 17 classes for mini program. English program use English language for the instruction. There are 6 classes for English program. Subjects learned at school are Math, Science, English, and Thai. The school have activities for their students like football, dance, swim, and etc.
    The teaching and learning process are held 5 days a week from Monday to  the schedule as follows: 
    08.00-08:40 Morning Assembly
    08:40-09:40 Study in classroom (period 1)
    09:40-10:40 Study in classroom (period 2)
    10:40-11:00 Milk break
    11:00-12:00 Study in classroom (period 3)
    12:00-13:00 Lunch
    13:00-14:00 Study in classroom (period 4)
    14:00-14:50 Activity
    14:50-15:10 Snack break
    15:10-16:00 Activity


    • o   Materials and Other Learning Sources

    The material for teaching is use 3 the books. There are  textbook, work book, and homework book.  Teacher and students have same book. Other learning sources is computer, wifi & projector that has on every classes.


    • o   Measurement and Evaluation System

    The way of evaluation the students is classroom evaluation. The classroom evaluation are  take the students score from workbook and homework book, ask one by one, and final test every chapter. There ae so many lesson test but we can choose some lesson test for material we need. Like memory skills, listening skills, speaking skills, critical thinking skills, writing skills, and etc. 


    • o   Curriculum

    Satit Demonstration School use school’s curriculum by standard of education ministry of Thailand.


    • o   Teaching Plan

    I teach math, English and have activity with the students from week 2 until week 4.



    2.      PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS

    o   Teaching Methods

    On my first day came to Satit Demonstration School, the head of foreign teachers of the school inform that Teachers Jesily as mentor for EP 3. She is from Philiphina and Teacher Moniza as mentor for EP 5. She is from Pakistan. The scool ask me to teach EP 3 and EP 5. First week I observed in all class of English Program and second week I start to teach the students until fourth week.

    • o    Learning Materials and innovation
    I used lesson plan, materials, textbook, work book, and homework book, and student worksheet.


    • o   Sources of Learning and Technology
    I used book from Satit school, youtube, powerpoint, and media.


    • o   Autentic Assesment
    Give a quiz, group discussion, and individual test.


    3.       Teaching Plan

    I have meeting and I must collect my lesson plans for the next week every Friday. The lesson plan will signature by head of foreign teachers EP department/coordinator if it correct and I must edit if it not correct until the lesson plan signed.

    4.      Observation on Teacher(s)


    • o    Planning for Teaching

                 I prepared my lesson plan one week before I teach,  made medial for the lesson, made                    student worksheet, brought textbook, workbook, and homeworkbook.


    • o   Preparing Lesson and Material

    I made medi for my lesson and it made the students focus about topic that we learn. Sometimes I used group discussion for make different lesson than before.












    • o   Teaching in Class





    The students in EP 3 is hyperactive. Sometimes I need Teacher Jesily as my mentor for controlling the students in EP 3. Someday I teach my lesson with a real object. I teach about measuring mass and I brought a weighing scale for fruit and a fruits. I show to them and they really interest with my lesson that day. 








    • o   Measurement and Evaluation

    Teacher Sherwin as coordinator from NSTRU give me evaluation for teaching that day. I also evaluated by Thai Teacher as my evaluators Atj. Songwit, Atj. Waiyawut, and Atj. Watcharakorn.



    5.      Teaching Practice



    o   Procedures of Teaching
    I always start my class with praying and after that checked students attendance. after that I gave warm up with asked them some question related with my lesson. Review prior knowledge, activity, cooler, and gave them homework
    o   Time management and organizing activities
    My class was for 1 period of class. Which is period is 1 hour. It enough for me do warm up activities, teaching phase (explain media and evaluation) and closing phase.
    o   Problem Solving
    Nervous is my biggest problem. Because I worried students can answer my question, they not listen carefully. But I got teach in English program. So, They understand what I said and we can communicate very well.

    o   Classroom management
    The problem in class is bad habits students like talk with their friend, run, and play a toy during the lesson. So, I used media with pokemon and mickey mouse because they always talked about it, used a real object, and used experiment. And they listen my lesson carefully.


    6.      Summary and Suggestion

    o   Purpose of Practicum
    The purpose of practicum is make me more ready to teach and become a teacher.  Moreover I practicum in overseas, it make different experience with other people mostly. I could teach students about mathematics with English language.

    o   Procedures of Practicum
    Procedures of practicum was began with orientation on Satit Demonstration School that held by our coordinator of receiving university. They explain overall about this program, and tell me what to do in this program. In the actual practium, 1st week of Practicum is observation, 2nd week is become teacher assistant, 3rd week is actual teaching, and 4th week is evaluation and reflection.

    o   Outcome of Practicum
    Outcome of practicum after 1 week in Thailand is i got a lot of knowledge during practicum, evaluation and reflection from others participants, teachers, and evaluator. I got new culture, new food, new language (thai language and tagalog language) but a little bit, and new friends from other country. The buddies is very kind.

    o   The challenges of practicum
    The challenges is I must walk everyday to school. But is ok the place not far from my dormitory. First time when I went to school I use a long route and that make me sweat in the morning. But that was no longer after I found the nearest route.

    o   Overall impression
    Joining this program is the best choice so far. I can practicum in overseas with guarantee that I will be protected while there. Because that is difficult guarantee if you just come to another country as atourist. I’m lucky to have a new friends from Thailand and Filiphine. They are very kind and so much fun. Also I can lern their culture, their language, and their knowledge. I finally know how international learn and how many times they learn so they can produce the best students.

    o   Sugestion for Future Improvement


    This program is very good for student  to studying in another country but more good if all the cost is free. So, the participants will more interest with this program. .
